An upper level produced a brief period of snow between 5am 9am. This was a light snow event with a dusting around the I88 corridor and generally a coating to under an inch further north. Again, this was a salting event. The official snowfall at O’Hare Airport was .2 while Rockford has received .2

A clipper type system generated a snow mainly between 9pm on 1-27 and 2-3am on 1-28. Temperatures during the snowfall stayed between 32 and 34 degrees which made this a wet snow. Surface temperatures also ran between 32-33 degrees. Snow amounts ranged between1/2 to 1.5 inches. Salting and some plowing were needed to clear surfaces. ORD .8 RFD .9
