An area of light rain and drizzle developed 3-5am before quickly changing over to light snow mixed with a little sleet in spots. Activity was heaviest from Calumet City to Joliet southward. There was just enough snow to require some salting especially south burbs. Activity exited the area mid am. Officially O’Hare Airport hat .3 snow, RFD .2 and Romeoville .2

A period of snow and snow showers early am produced .5 to 1.5 inches mainly north of I90 to Trace amounts near the I88 corridor. This required salting and even some plowing in some areas in the snow area. This was a short duration event between 4-6am Chicago area and 2-4am Rockford area. ORD received .1 of snow, Rockford .8, Romeoville trace

Rain even changed to heavy wet snow over parts of the area with the

Light snow and flurries occurred between 5-7am. Areas south of I80 picked
Up upwards to an inch or two with this first batch while areas to the north received

Light snow spread into Rockford just prior to 6pm and over the Chicago are
