STORM SUMMARY 2-8-14
A narrow area of light snow and snow showers produced <1” snow prior to
6-7am north of I90 with just some scattered flurries elsewhere. Meanwhile more
Lights now developed 8-10 am and the snow intensified from west to east across
the area between 11am and 1pm. Snow intensities were not uniform as some areas
received some brief heavy bursts of snow early through midafternoon. The snow
eased up and diminished to some flurries by 7-8pm. This was yet another plowing
event. Temperatures were in the low to mid-teens throughout the event. Officially
ORD had 2.5 inches, RFD 2.4 inches and Romeoville 3.4 inches
