The lake effect snow machine was turned on during the evening hours on the 25th. The snow dropped down from the Racine and Kenosha Counties of Wisconsin into Lake, eastern McHenry, northwest Cook Counties between 6-8pm.

Light snow developed 2-4:30pm from west to east across northern and north central Illinois. As forecast, snow intensified for a short period between 5 and 9pm. The snow the diminished to very light snow and eventually freezing drizzle between 12-3am on the 21st.
