STORM SUMMARY 2-08 & 09-2016
An upper level weather disturbance produced periods of snow showers and
Flurries for the area after 4-6am on the 8th till just prior to midnight on the 9th.
Most areas just had trace amounts early Monday am for the am commute.
Pavement temperatures rose in the mid 30s by late morning Monday despite
Air temperatures in the 26-28 range. There was a bit of lull in the activity
Late morning and afternoon Monday on 2-8. Snow showers pushed down
From Wisconsin into northeast IL between 7-9pm. The snow showers diminished to Flurries after 8-9am on the 9th. Additional flurries occurred between 4pm and 11pm. Amounts were most substantial over the eastern parts of Lake and Cook Counties with light totals further west. Ord received .2 prior on 2-8
And then .6 on 2-9 for a storm total of .8 Rockford had .1 on 2-8 and .3 on 2-9 for A total of .4. Romeoville had .2 on 2-8 and .4 on 2-9 for a total of .6
