Lake effect activity dropped down into Lake , eastern McHenry and northeast Cook
Counties after midnight. Beach Park picked up an inch, Highwood .9 Fox Lake .9 Spring Grove 1.4. The rest of the area received mostly flurries. Another area of snow passed clipped mostly Rockford to Lake County after 8pm. Areas picked up less than an inch. The activity failed to reach the ground most of the area. Another area of light snow moved through between 4-7am. This primarily left behind a coating to under ½ inch. The main event saw snow overspread the area between 3-5pm before diminishing just prior to midnight. Average amounts ½ to 2 inches. Officially, for all of the systems, ORD received 1.3 inches, Rockford 1” Romeoville 1.1
