Light snow spread into Rockford just prior to midnight before moving into the Chicago area 12-1:30am. Light snow diminished to flurries in Rockford by 3am and 5-6am in the Chicago area. Flurries then lingered till late morning. Temperatures were in the mid teens during the duration of the snow and surface temperatures were also in the teens. ORD officially received .9 which pushed the monthly total to 5.9 and the season to date total to 21.6 Rockford had .3 with 3.7 for month and 17.7 for season. Romeoville 1” 5.1 for Jan and 15.7 for season.
