STORM SUMMARY 3-12-13
A band of snow showers and flurries moved through mainly areas north of I88 between 3-7am. Additional snow showers and flurries occurred after 1pm. There were a few heavy bursts of snow afternoon as snow showers produced 1 inch of snow at Gurnee and .3 at Peotone. Most surfaces remained wet during the daylight period as temperatures were in the mid 30s and surface pavement temperatures even warmer. Some salting was necessary especially for the predawn snowfall.
