The strong winds it was a difficult snow to measure accurately due to all of the blowing and drifting snow. Winds gusty around 40 mph resulted in near blizzard and whiteout conditions between 10pm and midnight. Snow amounts ranged from 1.5 to 3.5 inches. Temperatures were in The single digits until evening when readings rose into upper teens by midnight. Plowing and salting was required to clear surfaces. Officially ORD received 3 inches, Rockford 1.5 and Romeoville had 2.4 inches.
