This was a continuation of the previous day’s system. Light rain and drizzle
Continued with some additional refreezing occurring in spots due to the
Cold sub surface temps. Light rain and drizzle changed to light snow 2-4am.
This first batch of snow ended 6-7am. More snow developed and began 8-10am till 4-5pm. This activity required salting and plowing. Temperatures were around 33-34 degrees prior to the changeover and by midnight readings were down near 0.
ORD had 2.2 inches of snow which brought their seasonal total to 5.5 inches.
Rockford had 2.6 inches which brought their season total to 6.8 inches. Romeoville Had 1.4 inches or 3.1 inches for the season.
