The Public Works Department has 230 miles of roads in Arlington Heights to keep clear of snow and ice. At the beginning of a storm the public works department will start with the major streets and then work their way to the side streets. Two passes will be made on each road prior to final clean up of each street. For this reason it is recommended to wait until the final pass is made to clean the bottom of your driveway.
